This book contains a commentary by the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy upon him) on Sahīh al-Bukhāri, one of the best-known and most authentic books of Sunnah. The Shaykh gave two commentaries during his academic lessons held at his mosque in ‘Unayzah. The first commentary began in 1400 AH. However, nothing of it was recorded but a small part of the book of sales and the book of proxy. He finished this commentary in 1414 AH. But in the same year, he once again began to comment on this book, reaching “The Anti-Christ will not enter Madinah” chapter, which falls under the book of “The Merits of Madīnah“, in 1421 AH. Parts of this commentary, however, were not recorded. Thus, the Shaykh’s commentary on Sahīh al-Bukhāri is about 80% thereof.
