This book comprises commentaries on the choices of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah with regard to Fiqh issues, which were compiled and classified by Al-Ba‘li, known as Ibn al-Lahhām, (d. 803 AH). Our Shaykh (may Allah have mercy upon him) edited and revised the content of this book using the printed edition of the erudite Shaykh Muhammad Hāmid al-Fiqi (may Allah have mercy upon him), the circulating transcript at the time. He examined it against other manuscripts and approved the parts of the text essential for the soundness of the context and put others as footnotes. Then, he penned scholarly benefits and remarks relating to the subject of the book and added to them some of the relevant statements by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) that were scattered here and there in his other books or which were reported by his student, the erudite scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him).
