This book is a handwritten commentary by the Shaykh on the book ‘Umdat al-Ahkām min Kalām Khayr al-Anām for Al-Hāfizh ‘Abdul-Ghaniyy al-Maqdisi (d. 600 AH). It comprises a brief biography about the narrator of Hadīth, presents the subject of the Hadīth and explains its words, and then explains the Hadīth as a whole. Next come the lessons derived from the Hadīth. All this is done in a clear, easy, and brief manner. Meanwhile, the commentary clears any problem or ambiguity about the Hadīth or clarifies how to reconcile it with other Hadīths that seemingly contradict it. This book was part of the Hadīth curriculum for the students at the academic institutes affiliated to Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
