This book is a commentary on the poem "Al-Qalā’id al-Burhāniyyah" about the science of inheritance, written by Muhammad ibn Hijāzi ibn Muhammad al-Burhāni al-Halabi al-Shāfi‘i (d. 1205 AH). He did a lot of summarizing for it and edited, revised, and clarified its content. The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy upon him) commented on it during the lessons he used to give at his mosque. Of his commentaries on this poem, only two were audio recorded, the first of which was in 1410 AH and the second in 1417 AH. The more comprehensive commentary was chosen for preparation, and the benefits and additions existing in the other commentary were added thereto.
