This book was authored by the erudite Shaykh in 1397 AH. In it, he gave important brief information about the Noble Qur’an, as to when it was revealed, what was the first thing that was revealed, the types of revelation, and its writing and compilation. He also gave information about Tafsīr, explaining its meaning, the reference to be adopted in it, and what a Muslim should do with regard to Tafsīr. Moreover, he pointed out the categories of the Qur’anic verses, precise and ambiguous, and cleared any seeming contradiction in the words of Allah Almighty. Then, he talked about the use of oaths, the stories in the Qur’an, and the Isrā’īliyyāt and the significance and usefulness of the pronoun, and also the importance and benefit of iltifāt (reference switching, a rhetorical device).
