This book is a brief commentary on the book "Lum‘at al-I‘tiqād" by Shaykh Abu Muhammad ‘Abdullah ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdisi (d. 620 AH), in which the author compiled the best content on the creed. Given the lack of commentary on this book, the Shaykh explained it in simple words written by his own hand, clearing its ambiguities and highlighting its benefits. He preceded that with mentioning key rules related to the names and attributes of Allah, then speaking about the divine names and attributes, destiny, Sam‘iyyāt (belief in certain things based on hearing alone), the rights of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, the caliphate, the heretic innovators, the difference over secondary issues, the consensus, imitation, and the famous schools of thought. This book was handwritten by the Shaykh in 1392 AH to be part of the curricula at the academic institutes.
