This book is a commentary on the "Nūniyyah of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah" (d. 751 AH) known as "Al-Kāfiyah al-Shāfiyah fī al-Intisār li al-Firqah al-Nājiyah". Given in various episodes, the commentary was part of the academic lessons held by the Shaykh at his mosque in ‘Unayzah. The first of the audio-recorded commentaries was taken from the lessons held during the period 1408-1412 AH, comprising the full text of the Nūniyyah. Then, he gave the commentary again in an extensive manner, and that was the one recorded from 1419 AH till he passed away in 1421 AH. In Dhul-Hijjah 1391 AH, he began to write down an academic reading of this “wonderful” poem, as he used to describe it on every occasion. He wrote a select of its lines with his own hand, rendering them into various chapters, and these were added at the end of this book to achieve an even greater benefit.
