This book comprises a commentary on a book chosen by the Shaykh in the field of the fundamentals of Fiqh, namely "Qawā‘id al-Usūl wa Ma‘āqid al-Fusūl” by Ibn Shamā’il al-Baghdādi (d. 739 AH). The commentary was given during the summer holiday courses held by the Shaykh at his mosque in ‘Unayzah, and it ended at the course held in 1420 AH, as the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy upon him) stopped at these words by the author in the second section on the proofs: “Like the prohibition of a free man marrying a female slave because of the child becoming a slave”.
