The Commentary on Kashf al-Shubuhāt and the Commentary on Al-Usūl al-Sittah
SAR 8.05
This book is a commentary on the treatise "Kashf al-Shubuhāt", followed by a commentary on "Al-Usūl al-Sittah". Both books are for Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhāb (d. 1206 AH). The book "Kashf al-Shubuhāt" tackles over a dozen suspicions raised by the polytheists, responding to them with proofs in a clear and simple manner. The Shaykh’s commentary on this treatise aims at clarifying its content and making it easier to understand. The book "Al-Usūl al-Sittah" tackles the six fundamentals, namely sincerity, unity in religion, obedience to the ruler, distinguishing the scholars from others, defining Awliyā’ (the pious servants of Allah), and clearing the devil-inspired suspicion about turning away from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The Shaykh’s commentary is meant to clarify these six fundamentals and what falls under them. The commentary was published from the transcription of the tapes, and then the Shaykh revised it, making the necessary additions and omissions. It also includes 28 questions on the treatise "Kashf al-Shubuhāt", which in total represent a summary of this treatise.
